Happie Bdae Dyc!!!

All of us were nua'ing and waiting for evening to come on a lazy sat afternoon. Was thinking of going swimming but in the end decided to postphone it to Sun morning if we did wake up in time...

Evening came and poor dyc the only guy had the responsibility of setting up the bbq fire.... A great task that he took upon himself... hee... Finally the fire was set up n here we go bbq'ing food.... Not too much leftovers so its quite an okay estimation this time. Most of the stuff was bought from Cheers cos there's not much difference in price compared to NTUC at whitesands.... Cheers is recommended.... its nearby, affordable and surprisingly a rather good range of food from satay, otah, chicken wings marinated with different flavours or non marinated, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, all sorts of other stuff too....

I can't imagine how much hot dogs we ate during the bbq.... At least 4 packets.... and also at least 4 packets of crabsticks.... amazing....

Cut cake time....

Got a small Black Forest Cake from Bengawan Solo so we won't be overly full after downing so many chicken wings n cake. Dyc is a lucky guy.... He take photo with so many girls.... ahahah.... Oops... Not to forget his bros too.... and barney who represented Bocun in his absence... Hee...

Someone is 24 liaoz...

:: Lovers Fondue for Chinese Valentines... ::

After reading the Uob cards newletter abt Haagen Diaz, I HAD to eat the fondue!!! Me being whiney whined that i wanted to eat fondue... and Yippie... I get to eat fondue!!! I luurrrvveee Haagen Diaz Ice Cream! The fondue came with fresh fruits (strawberry, banana, apples), 4 flavours of ice cream, love letters, sponge cake and chocolate chip cookies. Then there 2 dips (chocolate and strawberry) and 1 topping (chopped nuts). Of course at the end the chocolate sauce was much more popular than the strawberry sauce that was neglected. Lovely...

:: Lion Lion Dancing... ::

After lunch, was sort of distracted by the clanging of the cymbals and the beatings of the drums of the Lion Dance which was here to usher in the new year for good luck and prosperity. Quickly walked to wait for the Lion Dance troupe to pick the veggie n arrange the oranges for good numbers. 3891 is the lucky number or 1683... but but but... I buy liaoz never tio 4d.. haiz...

:: Everyone's birthdae!!! ::

Its the seventh day of the lunar new year and its when everyone celebrates "ren ri" by having a Lo Hei session... Of cos the higher u toss yr "yu sheng" the better... Toss it high and say auspicious sayings together to get good luck and fortune for the year.

We had fried fish, cereal prawns, kang kong, yu sheng, and a meat dish... yum yum... IT was very crowded and it seemed that alot alot of ppl were eating out to celebrate that day. The next table even brought hard liqour and wine to indulge in their alcoholic cravings... Excellent...

:: Hiro Express ::

Walking ard taka, looking for food... Ended up at Hiro Express which is one of those really small stalls in the basement. It sort of a tiny restaurant where u order yr food n sit ard the stall waiting for yr food. There was 2 stalls selling Katsu but only 1 with curry Katsu. Not bad... The Katsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Value for money and delicious enough to satisfy me. I'm not a fussy eater at all... haha...

Its probably a Japanese duo managing the place and abt $10 can leave yr tummy smiling. :)

:: Cream Bistro ::

Finally went to Cream bistro as I have a 1 for 1 offer on main courses which are practially everything. The food is quite yummy and affordable. I had the salmon hotplate n dyc had some meaty dish which had chicken chop. Not bad ambience n service i guess but after dinner, u smell strongly of food cos of the open kitchen concept. Will be going there somemore to try other stuff... hee...
