:: post new year lunch... ::

After rotting for so many days due to the CNY... lazy me wanted to eat something besides steamboat... i wan PRATA!!!
Being adventurous and firm in my decision to eat prata, i searched online for the location n bus route to Simpang Bedok to eat my cheese prata... hee hee hee...
Yum Yum... no food is too far away for me...

Finally its the year of the Dog and Goodbye year of the Rooster....
Time really flies and soon I will be looking to turning 25 in July...
Gosh... I'm old... On a outlook for the Year of the Dog, hopefully I will be accomplishing greater tasks and greater goals this doggie year...

Its been a really fast Jan and intensive lectures are done for me, will need to start looking at my notes soon... *lazy me*
This is the first year that I ate 2 reunion steamboats in a day... *stuffed*
I really like steamboats though... The warm feeling of all sitting together at the table eating their fill and most of the time its a once a year event that families gather for this big event. Of course for us kiddies the biggest thing we look forward to is the Ang Baos!!! Then again, as the years pass by the amount received is getting smaller cos we are also getting older and earning our own income. So the red packet is just a gesture of goodwill to carry on tradition.

CNY eve was the first time in donkey years that I went Chinatown and boy was there a super crowd there. There even needed to have SMRT crowd control and the police there just in case. There were really alot of stalls selling the Taiwanese Muah Chee and jellies at cut throat prices and everyone was snatching plastic bags n trying to stuff it to the brim. As usual there were plenty of stalls selling cny goodies and festive banners n party poppers. Also spotted, the retro bubble tea with the doll shaking the bubble tea at $2.50... Hey... sweet talk sell cheaper...

Since there is a long weekend cos of the new year holidays, its been rest rest rest and enjoy life for me. But all good things do come to an end and soon its back to work / school for me. Spent this holiday watching movies... watched Fearless which was really good and I Not Stupid Too which was rather good as well... Both are recommended... :)

I wished I was living in Japan!!! Then I can eat Hokkaido Ice Cream as and when I want it! The chocolate was lovely and best was the green tea milk... slurpz... oi-shiii!!!!!

:: Central... ::

After a day of work... whats best is sitting down n enjoying dinner...
Went to try Central rest. at Taka... Okay, i know me n yen yen said that we would never step into this place, but anyway... I did...
The thousand layer tofu with pork floss is not bad, n the black pepper crispy noodles...
But... But... the fried rice!!! its seafood curry fried rice ok... curry powder... :(
kena cheated le... next time just stick to noodles or the baked rice.... haha...
Its quite a popular place cos there is always a queue to get seated. Overall, its still okay... Can consider going there again to try other stuff... heez...

:: Mushroom Pot... ::

Yes... Finally after talking abt going to eat mushroom pot for weeks, we finally finally went!
Was actually supposed to go the previous week but something came up n it got postphoned to this week and Yes... finally managed to eat it today.

Their steamboat for 2 was yummy, the soup tasted good, their mushrooms were fresh, and the seafood was good too... And the chicken was really yummy n tender... slurpz...
It was a special day too, with a special meal...
