Goodbye 2005!!! Here I Come 2006!!!

The food was quite reasonable, not too expensive & the taste is quite okay too. Really quite alot of ppl eating there and the best thing is that its open till very very early in the morning!!!
Their salt n pepper squid tastes not bad! I think i like the seasoning hence the liking...

After eating dinner... we decided to walk to cheesecake cafe as we were really full and its really just a few bus stops away i guess... Luckily it was a rather breezy n cool night that allows for some walking... Next stop, Fisherman Village...

More drinking n eating at everystop we go... Goodness me.... This festive season is really hurting any diet that anyone has!

Counting down to 2006! Had fun with sparklers n 2 "little bees". Although 1 bee couldnt fly... oops... the rest of the sparklers were fun too... However, at the exact moment of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 linda, dyc n me were actually standing outside the toilet buying sparklers! Whoops...

When we were leaving, we stopped by the playground to relive our childhood... Playing the swings n the net... Got some cool thingy like a huge planet saturn and kids can sit on the outer ring n spin round n round. It was really popular as many many ppl even adults waiting to play with it!

Oh well.. Goodbye 2005!

:: xmas 2005 ::

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!





Xmas eve dinner @ home...
The last min turkey and honey baked ham from Carrefour...
Woke up early in the morning to eat bfast at Cafe Cartel then off to buy turkey...
But it was sold out at Plaza Sing! Then in the end decided to proceed to suntec to search for turkey. There was turkey at Suntec! But whoa, alot of ppl like waiting for the turkey to start being sold. Bought lots of stuff n lugged it all home. And guess what, we took bus 36 home. Turkey took bus home! Went home n started preparing food for dinner. Also bought almond jelly powder to make dessert. Dessert was a success cos daddy said it tastes like its from the restaurant! Nice dinner...

Went thru orchard road to the MRT station and there was alot alot alot of ppl!!!
Alot of foreign workers too! and everyone was spraying that fake snow thingy everywhere!!!
Goodness me.... Luckily the train station was empty...

Xmas day, went to Rachel's church musical early early in the morning at 8am. Ate bfast at the hawker centre thereafter. The fishball noodles were quite yummy, only $2 but really alot alot of noodles lor... Went bugis for some xmas present shopping n then went to Aunt Cecilia's house for xmas day lunch. More turkey n more ham... Also had roast beef, tiramisu, smoked salmon n walnut bread. Not bad at all, although finding the house was a little tiring...

Spent the rest of the day playing cards with my cousins and at the same time getting entertained by my uncle who was having his one man concert with his electric guitar singing his oldies ktv. Even my dad surrendered after singing a few songs... haha...
Finally left ard 4pm and was feeling rather sleepy by then. Luckily still managed to catch Narnia at night... Loved the show for its effects... What an eventful Christmas... :)

:: Happie 23rd Bdae Linda!!! ::

Although it was an early celebration on the 21st of Dec, it was still a good one...
Actual birthdae is on the 23rd of Dec n also becoming 23 years old too...
Anyway it was ladies nite at Dbl O n hence a free flow of drinks for us ladies, too bad the 3 guys had to buy their own drinks after they had their 1 free drink...
Too bad for they guys, they paid $50 for a jug n didn't wait for their change, so sad lorz... One jug only costs $12-$16 leh... Silly Silly... next time please pay by card ok?

Bought a 1 kg oreo mousse cake cos birthdays always must have cake right?
Initially we thought that the cake was too big for a small group of us, but in the end, after they played 5-10 the forfeit was cake eating... hahah... the cake was finished... even the cake board was licked cleanly...

My xmas gift exchange pressie and my lucky draw prize "bert"...
I only had bert for 1 day. The next day i gave bert to my niece as part of her xmas pressie... Bye bye bert... The anklet was given by gary for the exchange. Thanks!



Had Hi-tea @ the office as part of christmas celebration. So work stopped at 3pm... Also had early release so can go home early n go shopping!!!

What I ate during the Hi-tea. Not bad la, the sushi was from Sakae Sushi and had catered food as well. The chocolate eclair was really not bad! yummy yummy....

Its a rainy saturday!!!
What to do? Go clubbing...
Gloomy me cos got no Mc Milkshake to drink... Had to settle for Mango Smoothie instead...
Someone so happy lorz... Cos he can eat his McNugget meal... Me... only got Apple Pie... *sobz*
Not really alot of ppl there this time round, and as usual the music is ever changing and ever repeating. Din really drink much too...
By the time we left it was about 4am. Just in time for Mc Breakfast!
See see? Three of us eating Sausage McMuffin w/ egg at 4am!
In the end, we sit there soooo long n tok until there were no more cabs.
Guess what?
We took MRT back.. yes... Public Transport!!!
Amazing rite? hahahahah.....

:: Steamboat Shopping... ::

Went over to Christine's house to go steamboat shopping at TM together. But I was a bit hungry before that cos haven't eat lunch yet. So greedy me bought YanYan from NTUC opposite her house first to eat. Double Cream one leh... got chocolate & strawberry! *yippiez*
Poor dyc has to pose for my pictures... hee...

Went TM to eat lunch before our steamboat shopping... Me being a sucker for yummy steamy ate that AGAIN. We bought lots of stuff for the steamboat like fishballs, meatballs, crabsticks, egg tofu, hotdogs, bean vermicelli, scallop, whole chicken, veggies, alot of golden mushroom and longans for dessert.

By the time we reached Christines house we were quite tired and we opened one of the bottles of soft drink that we bought for the steamboat. Me being the only person who knows how to debone the chicken had to mutilate the chicken alone. Of course I had someone hovering around me cos the way I hold the knife is dangerous... hahahaha.... While we were doing hard work, someone was watching tv & eating potato chips! But she came out to peel the prawns after that la... hee hee....

Left in the evening but it was raining! My poor birkies got wet. Damn... Was getting a tad hungry n greedy me again wanted to eat junk food and honey chicken... hee hee.... :)

:: No signboard ::

Chili Crab @ No signboard esplanade
Finally met up with the girls for a meal of chili crab at no signboard @ esplanade. We sort of postphoned the crab dinner for a few weeks already. But this time instead of eating crab at MacPherson we changed the venue to esplanade as it is more accessible, easier for all to go home after dinner although we have to pay more.

One thing to note, next time better make reservation if u want to sit indoors. We didn't make any reservation as it was sort of a last min decision to eat there and we were left with outdoor seating. Luckily it wasn't too hot, but after eating chili crab, it isn't surprising that u start to feel hot n heaty. A rather good crab meal as the crab was quite big, although they said their crabs were small, no difference between big and small crabs, only one standard size. Their deep fried mantou was really cute though small but tasted good with chili crab gravy, although a tad expensive for its size. Maybe next time can try Jumbo seafood since the prices are about the same.

Presents!
Linda is back in singapore and yippiez, we get presents! We randomly pick a number in order to determine what biscuits we got, yum yum, the biscuits from Aus are always goody goody. Of course u can buy from candy empire or some from supermarkets but the ranges are excellent in aus and the prices are much more affordable than buying them in singapore. She had lots of fun there, of course after a holiday there, everyone will start to remincise the times there.

:: Rushing for a movie... ::

no time to waste...

quickly trooped to orchard in the evening to catch a movie with dennis before he starts work the next day. Watched my 2nd R21 show ever, "A history of violence". The ratings in the newspapers seem rather good, but strangely enough, the show didn't live up to its expectations. The cinema was almost full house and we ended up sitting in the very first row at the corner. Lots of gun violence and bloodshed in the show itself, until dennis commented that there was even more blood and gore than saw II. That is rather strange, i thought saw II was some really gross blood and gore show. Since there was no time to eat dinner before the show, we sneaked in subway sandwiches to eat during the movie. I wonder whether i annoyed anybody with the loud rustling of my sandwich paper and the smells of my sandwich. I have ever seen ppl eating stuff like mos burger and soup in the cinema lorz. Worse is macdonalds fries, the smell seems to travel and make u really hungry. The worst I have ever heard was ppl eating chicken rice in the cinema. Weird rite! How do u debone the chicken and see what you are eating?

:: Fridays are for having fun... ::

Lunch Time!!!

Met up with Dennis for Lunch after I went to Tanjong Pagar. Decided to eat at creation cafe and it so happens both of us know that the pasta is not too bad and the set lunch is quite affordable...

I took the spaghetti instead of fusilli this time and its not bad too. Soup just as good... Lunch hour is really quite crowded...

After some serious shopping at suntec, we proceeded to M.S. and had Andersons Ice cream. The fondue is different from other places and the chocolate is more like chocolate fudge. But its not too bad. Yummy Mint Choc Chip Ice cream n Rum n Rasin. Pay with UOB Credit card and get a free complimentary Ice tea... hee hee...

In the evening... had an egg prata at suntec.
There are lots n lots of ppl q'ing up for the prata. Actually the taste is quite normal, a tad more costly but it is in the city district.









More walking ard after prata time... Back to M.S again... Saw mphosis bags that were quite nice... Potential xmas pressies... Oh well, need to crack my head on wat to get for yen yen's bdae n xmas too. So far, only secured a pretty dress from esprit for my niece n a psp game for Rachel. Lots more xmas gifts to go.

After shopping, decided to head to Newton Circus for supper... Had bbq stingray n bbq chicken wings n sugar cane juice. Reminder to myself, next time order stingray from stall 69. The original location of Newton Circus Hawker Centre is under upgrading and the temporary location is just beside the houses near monks hill. Relatively the same... Also bumped into Say Yong there... He still looks the same... hahah... :)
