Only going on friday night, still haven't find luggage and decide what to bring there... I think i'll just buy most of the stuff there and bring fewer things there since its cheap... Darn, still got to study for my business finance test thats tomm... so many things to do!!! At least we settled the hotel booking and air ticket liaoz... Had a slight slip-up cos Asia Hotel that we intended to stay was fully booked and when u book online, the confirmation only comes a day later... Luckily Octopus travel's confirmation was a matter of hours. So there we are, we've settled that. Next is to look forward to the trip and enjoy myself shopping like crazy!!!

Okay... before getting excited, need to study for my test first... *sheesh*

I went for Gym wif Linda yest!!!
See... I'm trying to keep up with going to the gym more regularly what... So luckily she asked me to go to the gym, if not i''ll probably still be snoozing in my comfy bed. Dragged myself out of bed after trying to silence my phone from the repeated alarms that really irritates me. Watched an Ep of Anime before rushing to my room to gather all my gym clothes and shoes n toiletries... Walked down to Somerset for body combat at 12.50pm... The class was really really spacious compared to timings like 6.30pm on a weekday. I prefer the class like that rather than crowded, cos I did experience getting kicked before, although the person just kicked my hand, but it was still a kick! The gym session this time was slightly better than last thurs cos I wasn't as tired as Thurs. We made it Linda! We survived the entire body combat class! We were sooo hungry after gym, gathered what little remaining energy to Cineleisure Foodcourt for late lunch. Of course, in order not to spoil what a good workout we had, must eat light food... like Sliced Fish Noodles, or Yong Tau Foo rite... what good girls we are...

I went off to Holland V. to look for my ex-colleagues but specially for Weijun cos its his last day at the branch. Grace told me a good piece of news... Her next baby is on the way!!! So happy for her, her baby daughter will have a new playmate next year. That totals up to 3 mummies to be at the branch. Had a mini catching up session with them and really just chat abt everything.

Met Irene for coffee at Coffee Bean cos she so happen to be available, no class for her ma... Long time din see her already, since my bdae. Must catch up with her more often if time permits, All of us are busy with work, studies, friends... She bought Bak Kwa Pie and funnily, thats my first time eating it even though I knew it existed since a long time ago. Not bad, but then again, I'm not really that fussy... I and her wanna go Miramar and eat @ Ikoi and have lots of sashimi... Must book 2 weeks in advance... Must be because of the recent Sunday Times article about the affordable Japanese Buffets... If not i dun think must make reservation 2 weeks in advance... Must make a date with her about 2-3 weeks from now for Sashimi!

All my dear ex-colleagues...
Went back to the branch today cos its Weijun's last day at the branch. He's not renewing his contract and he's going back to Taiping. Not sure if he's going back for good, hope he can find a job back home, if not he'll probably be coming back to Singapore to find a job again. Anyway it's been a good 3 years that we have known each other and a good friend found. A little sad to see him go of course, had a very encouraging good bye hug from him... I hope to see him around sometime. Or receive a wedding invitation from him.... haha...

:: Sun Post... ::

Darn.. the weekend just flew past again....
met up wif christine n linda n dyc for dinner on sat after class at pasta cafe. Sorrie, no pics cos we were too hungry i guess. Had yummy creamy salmon pasta, I really really like salmon, cooked, raw, whatever... I'm a salmon fan...

Well, me n linda had to wait for christine and dyc to come down to town cos both of us were already there at 5 plus, so we went Birkenstock to check out the sandals... we're gonna get a pair for ourselves, or two... cos i'm going to order them online. A plus point is that its cheaper, and also there are designs that aren't available in singapore stores. And I really like the english black garden madrid... Maybe the cherry fruit also... I'm tink I can't wait till i get them and then I can wear them everywhere, except when it's raining. I wouldn't want to spoil my precious Birkis.

After dinner was a post where to go discussion... Seems that it ALWAYS happens when we all g out, Singapore is too small! There is like NO where to go, everywhere is the same, or we have been there already and there's no new excitement or anything. We walked from Taka to Far East so dyc could eat his ice cream... hey... he's sick hw come can eat ice cream ah? hmmm... In the end we went to M.S. to watch soccer @ Correlian cos Raymond called and asked whether we wanted to go. The girls are neutral and dyc wants to watch so we all went down. I think the match is like totally KeLONG!!! The referee was shockingly horrible... He was like too free with his red card and his yellow cards. Poor Spurs... I think they could have played much better... Chelsea emerged winners of this match... We all went home after the match and decided to meet up for Breakfast on Sun Morn... Cafe Cartel is better than MacDonalds in my opinion...

I even ate a bit of muffin... I think they should seriously think of changing the muffin to something else that ppl actually eat. I see like 80% of the customers not touching their muffins at all! 10% doggie bag their muffins, 5 % scrape at their muffins, last 5% eat their muffins... Do u know how much muffin is wasted!!!



We got everyones brekkie picture except Raymond... His was the LAST to arrive even though its really east to prepare... We kind of waited around 30 mins i guess... and he's really unlucky... After waiting 30 mins, they say they have no more hashbrowns.. what would u like to change it to? Oh no... Poor Raymond, He really likes Hashbrown lorz... and he choose a set that has hashbrown on purpose... and they tell him no more hashbrown!!! Okay, maybe can change to Fries cos Raymond loves anything potato... Sorry can't change to fries cos that is lunch menu. Then can change to what?! Only can change to bacon, ham, sausage or french toast... grrr....
I sacrificed my entire hashbrown and gave it to Raymond cos he looked soooo Sad....
I think Cafe Cartel breakfast is actually not bad, but they seem to always muddle up their orders and they are super inefficient. First no hashbrown, then yr brekkie comes with the wrong eggs, then they totally ignored yr special request of Very Well Fried Corned Beef! Haiz...

:: Oh My Aching Body... ::

Gym!!!

who knows why i itchy hand decided to hop off to the gym yest afternoon man... It was a spur of the moment thing, i was bored, din feel like studying, din feel like doing my dad's paper work.. OK! lets go to the gym. Quickly packed my stuff and lugged my big bag to Somerset. So happen to see the schedule and hey... there was body combat at 5.20pm... Stood outside the class for a min and finally decided to go in. If u tell me to go body combat like 1 year ago, no prob man... i still can remember most of the moves... Yest i was like a lost sheep... looking uncoordinated and lost and funny... At least 50% of the moves are similar. I was almost dying towards mid-workout, but decided that I must stay throughout. I am so unfit!!! Post workout was fine, but the warm-down session... oh my... i can't do pushups and i think i was abt to collapse in a heap over my towel on the floor. The female instructor Christina is so so so freaking fit man... She could hold her push up in mid position for like super long... But it was a good workout... Of course after the class there would be a mad rush for the locker rooms... so i watched tv while "cycling" for like 10 mins. When i went to bathe.... i could feel my stomach muscles aching from the sit-ups and my arm was like cramping from the push-ups... And today... my arms are aching... hahah.... oh well... i've got to start somewhere right? *winkz*

For the courtesy for my friends who wanted to know what fruit "Duku" , "Dukong or Longkong", or "Duku Langsat" is... They're all similar fruits, just that they are like cross breeds of each other... The fruit on top is Dukong, the fruit below is duku... well.. i dunno which is which la... thats just what my dad says... haha... confused me...

okok... its not really my pet. But believe it or not, the lizard is dead. I don't know how it died just by walking on the cupboard and it just konked off in mid travel, and yes... it was stuck up there! Poor lizard, imagine u r just walking happily and u die in mid air... sort of... oh well...

:: weekend soccer... ::

Went for class in the afternoon and went to far east plaza to have dinner before going down to M.S to watch soccer... I've eaten here since early poly days and the chicken chop rice is not bad and its $3.50 They also serve soups that are homemade so naturally its delicious... Its the highest level of Far East Plaza, opens around 11am n closes at 7pm. Closed on Sundays i think.







Yippie, the soup today is ABC soup! My favourite soup... Tastes yummy as usual... Home made soup is always the best... The soup is $1 only lorz... cheap cheap...










Chicken Chop Rice with extra curry gravy. This is raymonds portion, the auntie insisted that he take this plate cos got more rice. Haha... He insisted its the same but auntie like force him to take this plate. He wanted to tell the auntie that i eat more than him... :( Not bad rite? Still got fried egg somemore...








Me and my food... i got lesser rice la... thats y auntie insist on raymond taking the plate with a larger portion of rice... Total bill was $9.20 for 2 plates of CC Rice, 1 soup and 1 Coke... Cheaper than eating fast food... somemore nicer...








We went to Correlian to watch soccer again wif rick+ gf, sf, me, linda, raymond...
well... Man U won... but they din win by enough goals so we got a grumpy raymond at the end of the match. Actually Man U had alot alot of chances to score lorz! But they missed... many times... so sad... get so excited for a moment then the next moment its a letdown... No More bets!

:: Billy Bombers on a Fridae Afternoon @ JP ::

Went to Billy Bombers on Friday noony time for lunch/dinner/tea-time cos raymond's fren had sort of a belated bdae gathering lunchy thingy... So this is my carrot Soup of The day... with lots of pepper... it tastes totally carroty... which is totally the point.... maybe i prefer well cooked carrots i guess...

yummy i should say, anyway they had a set meal which is quite worth it... Soup + selected main courses + a drink + a scoop of ice cream for around $15+++.









Raymond ordered this... Cheese Fries with extra bacon toppings somemore... Fattening.. but i only had a few pieces... n we din finish it... too filling already...










My Fish n Fries which I shared with raymond... He took the very black piece of fish... Cos its more crispy... Anyway, those of u reading this, yes he does eat fish, but it depends on his mood... most of the time he doesnt eat seafood at all.. so don't get cheated into thinking that hey he eats seafood wat!









My Cookies n Cream Milkshake thats also shared with raymond... see, he's eating my soup in the background. Must add i think $3 to the set to change the drink to a milkshake. All the cookie bits were sunk at the bottom of the glass... Din really do much on friday except go out n eat billy bombers... spend the rest of the day doing body maintenance... haha... in the end at night cant sleep... ooops... oh well....

The garden cafe @ Phoenix Hotel

my mummy waiting for the hi-tea to start...

The mee siam... The sauce is thick so its not too bad. Not watery n diluted at all.

Cream Puff with choclate sauce and strawberries. Tastes not bad... sinful with the chocolate sauce dripped all over.

Mini Fruit tarts, my cream puff and a yoghurt cake i think. Tastes not bad... Mummy liked the yoghurt cake...

woke up close to 1pm cos slept at almost 4am in the morning. what to do today?
lets do some work for my assignment and some computer housekeeping.
i havent eaten dinner yet... cos i went hi-tea wif my mummy at hotel phoenix.
heard that there will be more variety during the weekend hi-tea, the food there is quite normal... not anything really spectacular la... but mummy ate till she was going to burst... haha... i just tried a bit of most of the stuff there.

Let me try to recall the variety of food there... There is Lobster Dumpling, Siew Mai, Chicken Pau, Mee Siam, Chwee Kueh, Chicken Wings, Chicken & Fish Nuggets, Chicken Chiplota, Glutinous Rice, Mee Goreng, Porridge, Rojak, Chicken Herbal Soup. For dessert there is Cream Puff, Mini Fruit Tart, Peppermint Jelly with fruits, Blueberry Crumble, Apple Strudel, Quiche Lorraine, Rum and hazelnut cake, Mixed Fruits Cocktail, Fresh fruits, Ice Kachang, Red Bean Soup, Yoghurt cake... I think thats about all there is.

Weekday Hi-Tea is about $17.50 per person including the CESS, GST n Service Charge... Service not bad, food variety not alot but enough for hi-tea, food standard quite okay, but of course i've had better... if wanna be fussy i think can rate 6.5/10 haha... :)

:: my boring weekend? ::

What kind of lousy Sambal bun is this!!! Such a sad saturday refreshment... Sobz... Went gym after class only to see lots of ppl at the gym. Since WHEN is California Fitness crowded on a Saturday Evening!!! Not only that, why isn't my membership auto-renewed? I must renew it myself? That's not what it says on the membership contract. Angry... at least i din have to wait to use the equipment. Haiz...






Here I am, at Mohd Sultan waiting for my dinner. Why is it taking so long. I'm starving cos the refreshments during break was gross. I'm very very hungry, I wan my Murturbak Now!









Oh... okok.. Here it is...
Half of mutton murturbak and half of mee goreng. The mee goreng is VERY hot... Not for mild chili eaters like me.. Murturbak was crispy and hot n nice... maybe cos im very very hungry... haha... i just busted my gym session by eating all these sinful oily food..








yummy yummy!!! i love my murturbak.. with lots lots lots of gravy. I look so greedy... Got a cat staring at me n raymond eating our dinner. The cat must be hungry too. Went correlian after dinner to watch soccer... Yeah Man U won... Correlian rearranged some of the tables, installed a DJ booth, hired another waitress, business must be thriving.

Todae my niece came to visit. She's going to be 1 soon on the 20th of August. So fast hor... She can walk but not totally stable and she needs to support herself against something first. See she put her hand on the sofa. Very active little girl, can't take her picture cos she keep on moving about... haha...

:: Spending my fridae... ::

I slept late yest... or rather very very early... I was still awake when the newspaper man delivered this mornings newspaper. Finally decided that it was late enough and it was definitely time to get to bed. Woke up in the afternoon after Christine called me and asked me out for afternoon tea... Marche is not afternoon tea... haha.... I met her n DYC @ takashimaya really late... like 3.30pm and we trooped off to Marche for my late late lunch and their afternoon tea.



See the food we had... in the end only the waffle was finished.... My poor crepe.... n the poor rosti... I was too full to eat the crepe liaoz.... Poor ham n cheese crepe.....
Someone was tired after eating a heavy lunch and now still eat afternoon tea.... *evil laugh* I got evidence!!!!

:: Curry Favour ::

Went for dinner at Curry Favour located at Stamford House. (Near City Hall Mrt Station)
Its actually a place serving Japanese Curries that go together with stuff like Ebi Fry or Rosu Katsu, Fish, Chicken, Softshell Crab. Also serves Stews and Westernised Japanese Food like Chicken Cutlets and stuff like that. There's a dish like Katsu with cheese... For cheese lovers i guess...







My starter of Salad, u can choose from Miso Soup or Salad. In the end, all of us chose Salad. The dressing is rather salty but its a simple salad of cucmbers, tomatos, lettuce n corn. My fav corn... which was like all stuck at the bottom of the bowl... haha.....








I think this is Age Chikuwa with Cheese after checking out the menu. Its the seafood or fish roll with cheese inside and deep fried. There's actually 6 pieces there la... haha....







My Rosu Katsu Ebi Fry combo with spicy curry.
The Katsu was nicely fried and its crisp and yet juicy on the inside. Not bad by my standards, the prawn was okay but I prefer Ebi Tempura rather than Ebi Fry. A yummy dinner by my standards, would recommend others to try. :)
Anyway the chefs recommendation is the Rosu Katsu. Go try it.







Mr DYC trying to act cute... We're all bored after the dinner and we decided spontaneously to hop onto the free shuttle bus taking us to Marina Square. Marina Square has changed quite alot after its renovation and even I would get lost there since it looks so different now.

Got to queue up to get into the padang cos there are soooo many ppl arriving at the same time. Waited for quite a while before proceeding into the sitting area.









Before the parade started, the combined schools choir are baking in the sun. It was really really hot in the afternoon.










The different contingents marching into the parade. Halfway through, we saw one person being carried out on the stretcher. I think it was too hot and the person fainted.

Me waiting for the parade to start. It was so hot that the min i sat down, I opened my Funpack and quickly looked for the cap to shield my eyes from the blaring sun that was kind of just opposite us. Secondly I took out my fan and then I realised that everyone was fanning themselves too. Everyone was hot...





I don't have other photos of the parade cos I mainly took videos of the fly past and the mobile columns. Worst of all, I couldn't see the fireworks from where i was sitting cos the fireworks was set off directly behind my sitting area. So mins before the fireworks are set off, Mr. Army guy will blow his whistle loudly and announce loudly to open up our umbrellas. We were thinking
: "Got Rain Meh?" Then after the fireworks were set off, I knew what the umbrellas were for. All the confetti and some residue floated down into the audience and the sky was like greyish, can see the black smoke floating past. Then can see some sparks flying down also... Too bad I could only see the fireworks by peeping through the umbrellas and out of the sitting area to the back. So sad... I was there, n yet i missed the highlight.
